Your path to pure well-being

At Schaffelbad, there are ways to ease into the experience—with breathable sauna wear made from natural fibers that let the heat in while providing modest coverage. So you can feel comfortable. And be completely yourself.

Relax with complete peace of mind

Our tips for sauna beginners will help you find your rhythm.

  • Start slowly. Begin with short sauna sessions and gradually increase the duration when you feel ready.
  • Take a shower beforehand. This opens up your pores and makes sweating easier.
  • Take time to rest afterward. The heat continues to work—give yourself a break between sauna sessions.
  • Drink plenty of water. Your body loses fluids, so make sure to replenish them.
  • Place a towel underneath you. To keep the shared sweating hygienic, always place a towel under you—including under your feet. This also protects the wood.
  • Close the door quickly. When entering and exiting, please close the door behind you quickly — this keeps the heat where it belongs.
  • Go at your own pace. The sauna isn’t a competition. The only thing that matters is that you feel comfortable.
